The Virgin: Gwen Stacy (Webb duology)
- Lifelike Barbie doll
- Style over substance
- Is into Peter after learning that he's Spider-Man, despite having no romantic interesting in him and only liking him as a friend earlier
- Hardly ever does anything other than being Peter's girl
- That corny "shut up and kiss me" moment
- Isn't bothered with Peter pulling her into a kiss and grabbing her face without her consent
- Takes pleasure in Peter going back on her father's promise to him
- Comes off as a Mary Sue, as she knows the power source to the entire city of New York
- Gets herself into danger in TASM2, which leads to her demise, making it her own fault
The Chad: Mary Jane Watson (Raimi trilogy)
- Receives as much character growth as most of the other characters in trilogy do
- Is able to figure out what's best for her, regarding both her personal life and relationships
- That iconic upside down kiss with Spider-Man in the rain
- Gets better at getting herself out of danger
- Was at her best in SM3; she calls Peter out for his arrogance due to his popularity as Spider-Man
- "Go get 'em, tiger."
