NO OFFENSE TO SERENA FANS OR AMOURSHIPPERS. Regardless of my personal feelings on the characters and pairing, this is for poking fun.
It doesn't take much thought to recognize that the foundation for Amourshipping is pretty flimsy, which makes the idea of it being the OTP for Ash in the history of the "Pokemon" anime all the more ridiculous. Serena met Ash at a Summer Camp when they were both little, they spent a little time together, and Serena kept what Ash used to bandage up her minor wound as a keepsake? If a relatively short shared experience at Summer Camp is enough basis for romance, then Angie from the "Diamond and Pearl" anime could've been the love of Ash's life, as she did the whole "Summer Camp bonding with Ash" thing before Serena was ever thought up and introduced. Angie is downright legendary to many of the fans who actually enjoyed the series she was featured in yet even she didn't get it on with Ash in any serious way. I don't ship Morpheusshipping either and felt Angie was underwritten in order to service that ship, but damn if I don't appreciate her more than I used to these days thanks to Serena and her delusions. (Always loved her English VA, though, and I'm real glad she got to be the voice of Mairin in the XY/Z series!)
This is basically how a meeting between Angie and Serena would go. Lovesick Serena gushes about her mundane Summer Camp encounter with Ash that gave birth to her feelings for him, and hot-blooded Angie just laughs her butt off at her. I remember Angie, her experience with Ash in their summer camp is certainly better than a couple minutes with Serena that Ash doesn’t remember.
